Wellbeing Day 5


Spend time today listening to what is actually going on around you. This might be:

  • birds in the trees
  • car sounds
  • weather
  • sounds that the house makes
  • the sounds of Christmas
  • the sounds of making dinner

Listening like this brings us back into the present moment, focuses the mind and can be really settling.

Also, when someone is talking to you, really listen to what they are saying. Often we listen to respond rather than noticing what is being said. Make a conscious effort to give this person your full attention. Does it make a difference to how the conversation flows? Does it make a difference to how you feel?
